Chain of Rocks and the Mighty Mississippi

After 2,300 miles, I paddled my last strokes in the Missouri river today as we paddled through the confluence into the Mississippi river.

Not sure Hank understood the monumental nature of this moment.

It was a very small feeling to enter the mighty Mississippi in a canoe. It is also a bitter sweet feeling; a little sad to be leaving the Missouri river behind after spending so much time getting to know her.😊

Immediately after joining the Mississippi I was faced with the reality that this is much bigger water with its very own personality, but the Chain of Rocks at high water is a pretty spectacular sight!

Headed back to Branson for a brief Chiefs break!
