Burr! Yesteray was the coldest morning yet at 39゚. Took 3 hours for the sun to come out and the feeling to come back into my fingers and toes.
C5s did exercises over Saint Jo all morning. Brought back some memories from our deployments. Ran into a couple barges.
The likes of Whitney Houston, The Beach Boys, and U2 kept me company. I fully admi that I danced and sang to keep warm… there's no one out here to care that I can't carry a tune.
Got to spend great time with wonderful friends and family! So grateful for everyone's patience with the last minute planning...tough to plan ahead with all the variables.. Jumping back on the river this afternoon.
It was so good to see our "River Girl". We thank God for watching over you and giving you the strength to keep going! Love you!❤😘
Grab some long Johns & cold weather gear!! I got out of Iraq in a C5. My replacement was the last to arrive. Flew to Diver with all of the flag-draped caskets. That plane & seeing lots of American flags together, always a huge trigger for me.
Great that you got to see family and friends! Stay warm and safe! Hope to see you on your next stop!
